My 225 EFI smokes excessively
My 225 EFI smokes excessively after idling in neutral for a short time. A fog of oil smoke rises around and inside the lower housing. Performance is not effected and there's no sign of smoke when operating at normal speed but at idle the amount of smoke is embarrassing if not a breathing hazard. Two different dealers have said it must be a leaking seal or check valve but $600 in parts and labor has made no improvement. I'd like to know if anyone has experienced this problem or has a solution.
