"For some reason lately the motor will start and run fine at full speed for about a minute or two, then I loose about 80% of the power and it runs very rough, if I let it cool down for a while then it will do the same think again. Any ideas, thanks in advance.

"I have replaced all the fuel lines and the bulb, it seams to be holding solid. We have tried to repump when it acts up with no evail. It seams to be something temperature related."

"You've said nothing about

"You've said nothing about having any alarm sounding. Does the warning horn sound off at all, and if so, what type sound is it emitting?

If no warning sound is taking place, it's possible that the stator under the flywheel (beginning of the charging and ignition system) is overheating and melting down. If so, you may be able to see a sticky substance dripping down from it onto the timer base and powerhead area. However, at times it is necessary to remove the flywheel to properly inspect it. Any meltdown would be obvious.

The ignition out put portion of the stator supplies approximately 300v AC to the powerpack. If the stator starts to melt down, it may supply power to the pack while cool, but after it warms up, the output voltage to the powerpack drops which results in erratic and eventually no ignition.

If this is your problem, a meltdown of the stator is usually caused by a faulty charging rectifier which in turn would cause the battery charging output portion of the stator to have the voltage back up at the stator, resulting in having the stator overheat.

If you have a tachometer, and the tachometer operates properly, you can consider the rectifier to be okay..... but only if (at the engine wiring harness) the Gray wire of the tachometer is connected to the Gray wire of the voltage Regulator/rectifier terminal lead.

Let me know what you find."
