Recently bought boat with this

Recently bought boat with this engine. Trying to figure out if I can add a trim gauge and a tach. I have found a cable end near the control unit with a white-tan wire with a connector and black wire with a terminal connector. I assume this is for the trim gauge. In reading the manuals that I have it appears that the tach output was added with the regulated charging output in 1992. Can anyone verify the white-tan and/or if this engine has a tach output. If no output are there any aftermarket tachs I could use?

There is a tach output it is b

There is a tach output it is below the ignition switch there is a three pin plug

Purple: power
Grey: tacho pulse
Black: earth

"Thanks Jamie. I was hopeing that plug might be the one. Was going to look, but when disassembly instructions say "make sure none of the small parts fall out" ... well you know what happens!
