My pump stopped working but t

My pump stopped working but the impeller was fine. There was lower unit oil on the pump housing and water in the lower unit. Seems like the driveshaft seal is bad. Would the pump stop beause the impeller keyway was moved up and no longer drove the pump? Ideas and fixes?? Thanks.

"Wall.... It would be impossible for the keyway on the driveshaft to move up. I'd suggest installing a new complete water pump kit, not simply an impeller. But first, find out where that lower unit is leaking and correct that problem.
