B23 Volvo engine, How hard to marinize ?

I am looking at buy a reconditioned Volvo B23 engine from a 240 car to replace my boats poor performing AQ125a and I wondered how hard it would be to marinize it as the new engine has no ancillary parts and no manifolds.
I have noticed that the inlet and exhaust are on opposite sides compared to the AQ125
so I think it renders the exhaust manifold useless.
Any suggestions welcome !

One of your engines is wrong, the B23 is almost identical to the Volvo Penta overhead cam 4-cylinders.

Not hard at all. You just have to replace all the marine parts in you r B23 (or is it a B230 what you have?). This includes intake + exhaust manifolds, fuel pump, carb, distributor, starter, alternator, heat exchanger, raw water pump, pulleyss, ignition coil + holder, wiring harness .... Also, don't forget to replace the camshaft.
