B100l 9.9 charging issues.

Ive got an older 9.9 on my sailboat...and it doesnt seem to be charging. Dont know alot about ob's....but with a dummy light...there wasnt any power coming from the rubber plug in the side where the elect. plugs in.
Any help, ideas, magic would be sooo grateful!!

You might just have a blown fuse. The BF100's had just a rectifier, so you should be able to light a test light or 12v bulb if the motor is running fast enough.

Check the fuse.

The check to see if there is AC voltage (probably between 15 - 20 volts) going into the rectifier.

Rectifiers are pretty hardy but I have seen this type fail....of course that was many years ago, when this type was used in electronic power supplies at a lot higher voltages.
