b04 50 Mercruiser power steering

I have an '04 Glastron SX1

I have an '04 Glastron SX195 with a 5.0 Mercruiser w/carb. Question is this: It is low on power steering fluid and I can't find the manual to tell me what to add. One guy told me Power Steering Fluid and another said Dexron III ATF. What is right? Thanks for the help!!!

Motor oil goes in a motor.
Transmission fluid goes in a transmission
gear lube goes in manual transmissions, rear ends and outdrives/lowere units.
Beer goes into the mouth.
air goes into tires.
gas goes into a gas tank


So you can pretty much put anything you want into anywhere you want. Will it work ok? sometimes yes and sometimes no."

being its a newer boat, that would be my guess,
most of the newer engines have color coded stickers that tell you what to add right on the engine, you might also call a dealer and get a replacement owners manual."
