"Can I use a set of aluminum heads I have off a 350 from a car on my mercruiser mag 350? I know the difference between the cooling systems, is there any reason why this wont work?? Fitment, water jackets or anything like that?? can I use an auto motive intake or is that different as well??"

"There are "pencil" anodes you can put in that help, also if you use a "closed cooling" system like a car/truck that uses Coolant, then it's a non-issue. an add on closed cooling system runs from 400-1000 depending on the setup and who you buy it from and if you do it yourself, and how you cobble the peices together ( ebay, craigslist, marine junkyard/used marine parts place )."

Nah.. just some mild work on the 305's to open them up a bit.. just to unshroud the valves a bit i'm thinking.
