Audible alarm for engine temp AQ130C ?

Has anyone installed an audible alarm for engine/water temperature on an AQ130C or similar engine? If so, what did you install and how difficult is installation?

I'm in West Australia with an AQ 151 that was worrying me with overheating problems (now sorted with a new exhaust manifold and restoration of the heat exchange seawater system).
I fitted an engine watchdog with a cheap strobe light also from ebay (I am quite deaf and the high frequency alarm is difficult to hear)- http://enginewatchdog.com/ - with the sender sensor on the thermostat housing. Easy to do and looking at the readout in the cabin gives you a bit of confidence. Runs at about 83C and I have it set to 90C for the alarm with this setup last time out - this reading is more of a relative thing I suspect. I have one of those heat sensor guns too and the temp. varies quite a bit around the engine.
