I have an Evinrude 150849S (1978 Evinrude 150 HP) project I'm just starting to tear into. The lower spark plug hole on the starboard head is all messed up, so I bought a 0325557 head from a 1980 Johnson 150 J150TLCSR. I'm hoping the 0325557 will directly change out with the 0328325 head that has the bad spark plug hole.
The heads I have on my 1978 150, appear to be from a 1983. I'm suspecting the whole powerhead is from a 1983.
Can I swap this one head, and leave the 0328324 head on the port side?
I don't want to be mixing a low comp head with a high comp head, but I can't find any info to tell me if either of these heads are low or high compression.
