Hi,

I am getting a milky fluid when i drain the leg. Can someone please help me to find out where water could be entering the gear lub and how to repair this problem?
Many thanks in advance.

Gary, drain the gear oil, reinstall the drain plug, and then perform a pressure/vacuum leak-down test.
See your OEM service manual for the values.

What I see more often than not, will be eccentric piston seal failure.

When/if the driveshaft Bellows leak, it generally takes a while for the water to rust the main seal surface washer, which in turn will damage the seal, causing this seal the leak.

While the drive undergoes the pressure and vacuum, rotate the universal shaft, the eccentric piston, and the propeller shaft.
