After some help with

"Hi guys
After some help with finding problem with lift device.
Ok i can tilt leg up and down fine when boat is not moving, BUT when i put motor in gear it pushes the leg down again and while cruising along i cant tilt leg up.
On dry land tilt works fine up and down but it is very easy to push down by hand when tilted up.

Any ideas of what this could be.

You should NEVER activate the

You should NEVER activate the tilt when in gear forward.
It might in emergency be used at minimum idle for beaching.
What You are experiencing is what it should be.

"It is a pure drive tilt and not a power trim. Trim angle is 'fixed/set' by the bolt at the bottom of the transom shield. Move it in if difficulties in planning, out if You are running on 'the nose'."

As Morten said, this is the only situation where you would have the leg in anything other than the full down position while underway."
