Aq280 Tilt Rebuild Q's

I need to rebuild my tilt drive. The motor is good.
The bearings are bad. Looking at the drawing it looks like there are 3 all total
2X #12980
1X #181424

I would like to try and source the parts locally if possible as waiting a week and a half is to long to wait.

Is there any crossover numbers for these?

Mine is still together.I can hear it has bad bearings it does however go up/down fine.
If you have numbers on your bearings please post them.
The link you posted is for a complete bearing. Upper/Lower race plus the cage.

Did a search for Thrust bearing.
I remember mine had NTN on a different drive tilt i had on a different boat.
I about 2 weeks away from parking it for the winter and thats when it coming out to get fixed and put back in next spring.
Figured if i could get em now i would just do it now.

Pat, in my 24 or so years of doing AQ series work, I have never purchased new thrust bearings. I've always been able to re-use good bearings that have been removed from Dead Tilt Out unit housings.
The thrust bearing that checks the vice rod "up-lift" (vice rod being extended to raise the drive) is the important bearing.

As for the ball bearing, it should have an Industry Standard p/n on it, meaning that a major bearing company can bring one in for you.

.

Thanks Rick.
Just don't have it apart yet to get the numbers. Dang thing sounds like a coffee grinder:rolleyes: but it has only got to go up and down two more times.

Ok bearing 19280. I have seen it listed as #12 and #14 on different diagrams.
Mine is INA 51104
It cross references to a $7 bearing

The other bearing i have no idea and will need to order as its so rusted there is no numbers to look at.:( and around here there is no place to match it up.

Forgot.
Here is a pic of the battle damage!
When i get the other bearing i will post that number also

One thrust bearing is slightly rough. The other is fine.
That piece is the spacer bushing. Can't remember the name right now but it was stuck so i had to chisel it out..

Ohya its all back together now and working fine. Quiet now no coffee grinder sound.
I did not time it but 6ish seconds seem pretty normal to me and mine takes about that long.
On the boat i had it took about the same time.
