The water suction is through t

The water suction is through the grids in the outdrive lower gear assembly. I would reconnect the S hose and try again.

i will check this So you think

i will check this So you think that even with the s tube underwater completly it wont suck water? the end is definetly under water i will check those exhaust manifold outlets also cause i know i sucked up sand! thanks for all your help! i will let you know thanx

"You never mentioned the sand

"You never mentioned the sand before. You probably agree that it is not easy to make an accurate diagnostic if part of the relevant info is not provided. If the pump sucked sand, you will have to flush the whole system (manifolds and block if raw water cooled). What engine do you have anyway? An AQ275C is not an engine/outdrive package (there is a 275 outdrive, but no engine with such denomination does exist to the best of my knowledge)."

the engine is tha aq271c? and

the engine is tha aq271c? and the outdrive is the 275 it is a v8 chevymoter what would be the best way to flush it? should i just run it on the garden hose at the raw water intake what about the outdrive any sugestions? all your help is SO HELPFUL THANKYOU

"If the engine is raw water co

"If the engine is raw water cooled, chances are that part of the sand has settled in the block cooling passages. I would try flushing with water and compressed air at the same time, then see if sand comes out. Also, you may want to remove the thermostat housing and see what's there."
