"When engine is started, the temp gage runs to about 230 deg before thermostat opens and reduces to about 140 or so. Can I replace the thermostat while boat is in the water?"

"You should be able to do it.

"You should be able to do it. However, you may want to open first the raw water strainer to make sure the is no water coming into the boat."
