Aq151 dies with quick throttle up or down

1989 model but low hours on engines. Symptoms intermittent on both engines. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would start by checking the accelerator pumps, the anti-syphon valves, water in the carb bowls, and make sure the carbs are synchronized. Also, ensure that the gas is fresh.

When it dies, pull the plugs, see if they are wet or dry. If they are dry, I bet you anything it's the ethanol that is breaking down the rubber and is getting stuck in the lines or somewhere in your carburator.

How do you go about synchronizing those carbs? There aren't any vacuum lines on them.

Here are some suggestions.

1) Download the manual and follow the procedure on page 12.

2) Get hold of a Uni-Syn tool and follow the procedure in the SELOC manual covering your engine (Seloc 3600). This is my favourite method.
