"Having to arcive the discussions on oil usage for my motor i have given up and if anybody can tell me the oil that is best for mt engine .I know that the book says 10W/40 ,but i remember some discussions on this and seem to recall that some peple are using 10w/ 50.can anybody give me some direction on this as I am changing my oil this weekend.Thanks"

I used 15W40 successfully for

I used 15W40 successfully for many years. That oil grade gives your 4 banger a good oil pressure at idle when the engine is hot (better than 10W30 or 10W40). Consider giving it a try.
