"Engine ran on start up for approx 60 secs at 2000 rpm, throttled back & engine cut out. Changed points & cleaned carb. Fuel not getting sucked through manifold & can be seen pooling in manifold, checked compresion when cold all cylinders just showing 50 psi. Could timing belt have jumped teeth or is this more serious."

"Thanks for that, cleaned up gears with wire brush, tensioner was in poor condition and will change the belt. got the boat cheap so expecting some problems but am happy now with the compresion reading. Could you tell me if the Petronix ignition kit is the way to go or would you recommend another make, if so what is the model number. Regards Davie"
