My question is will a later B230F or B230FD work also (as long as it is the distributor in block version)?"

Although I know the marine crank is forged as opposed to the automotive version, are the rods and pistons the same for an AQ131A and a B230? If not, is there a serious down side to simply rebuilding the B230 with automotive parts (except gaskets and core plugs, and camshaft of course)."
