AQ131 Electro megnetic trim

Hey guys. Im new to this forum

Hey guys. Im new to this forum and boating in general. I have a 1989 beretta with a Volvo AQ131 engine. Everything is going well but I have an electro megnetic trim device which I think hooks to the outdrive of the engine which is now not hooked up to anything. I took in out of the boat and it looks like a long metal rod with a hexagan bolt on the end and a plastic electronic motor up top. Do you know what this part is suppose to hook to?

"The trim worked fine when I got the boat. It broke when my buddy turned the switch on and left it on (the trim switch is in the back of the boat not on the handle.) When I took the boat out of the water, the whole trim unit came out. The trim motor still works but Im not sure where to connect the trim unit to the outboard or if im missing a part."
