"Hi folks, my boat has been running fine all summer long, but just in the last couple of weeks when I turn it over and give it a little gas it sputs and dies on me. But, if I baby the throttle the RPM goes up just fine. I'm thinking could be water in the gas or some other underline problem with the carburetor. I has been procrastinating on putting in a in-line water gas separator. looking for advice."

"Water in gas with ethanol blended gas is an epidemic these days.
Put the recommended amount of Sta-bil or what ever works locally in gas.
Install water seperator filter. I'd recommend one with a drainable water seperator (metal bowl only!!)
Check for water frequently. I keep a coffee can on board to drain off the seperator rather than let it run into the bilge.
Two seasons agoI woke up to that ethanol/water problem. When I drained the water seperator portion of the filter, it was FULL of water"
