I demount the original engine AQ130D The camshaft is profile P.
I want to change the engine (hole in piston), can I use every B20 type of engine and build it up with my old camshaft Type P, lifters en valve springs? Or do I have to look for a B20a or B20b?

"Short block refers to a bare block without the head.
If you have a hole in a piston, there was probably water in that cylinder. You can transplant the head and pushrods onto a car block. But, I would have the head checked by a local machine shop to be sure there is no warping or cracks. Good luck!!!"

If the cam is in good shape, you will be fine.
Another option is to replace the pistons, rings, and bearings....But I have found it cheaper to just replace the short block.
I have a 120B. The engine was seized when I purchased it, so I bought an engine for 175 dollars!!! And it runs well.(Ijust have other issues)"

I noticed that the head of an automotive B20 is slidly different. At the font of the Head, beside the thermostat is a little pipe coming out of the head. I want to drill a hole in the B20 head and mount this pipe in it.
Is this the only difference?"

Where is the crack in the head? Is it possible for a known aluminum welder to fix?
I know mine was fixed at one time.
As far as the differences, there are many great minds on this forum......Might try a new post, and someone will chime in.

"Eric, Eric, Eric...When are you going to learn that an AQ130 is an OHV (not an OHC like yours) engine, which has a head made of a high-nickel content cast iron and not of aluminum?

Totally different blocks (B20 versus B21), different heads, different everything (almost). I think it would be wise for you to do your homework before giving advice to others (just a thought)."
