"Have a 1976 AQ130/280 in a 17' runabout, used in salt and fresh water. After setting idle in the garage for about 10 yrs. got running again but had overheating on plane. Inspected, cleaned and replaced as necessary everything from outdrive pickup-tube seals, intake elbow, filter/hoses, exhaust manifold water jacket and exhaust elbow. Still ran hot. Finally removed end caps from oil cooler, which was not blocked, but located a corrosion build-up inside the exhaust manifold where the copper tube from the cooler entered the manifold. Dug out the corrosion and it's runnin' cool now. Posted in hopes this might help someone here--this board has been a wealth of info for me. Thanks all."
