AQ130C -270 leg will not go into gear

Hello all,
I have been reading posts here for about 6 weeks. guess who bought a boat with a Volvo engine. I made the cardinal mistake when buying a boat, I did not get to put it in the water and test it. I put in new starter new coil new wires new impeller new ignition module (It was changed to electronic. ran the boat only to find bellows had leaked. ujoints had rusted bad. just got that all back together and now it does not go into gear. can someone maybe give me a clue as to why?

I figured it out! seems the mechanic who was supposed to do the work 5 weeks ago misplaced, lost or kept the drive coupling. he took it apart but kept putting off finishing the job until I finally demanded my boat and parts back. to make matters even worse his dog ate my new wiring for the trailer lights.
