"I have a 83 bayliner with a a
"I have a 83 bayliner with a aq125b that just stopped while I was going 25 mph two weekends ago. I have no spark so I replaced the points and condensor with the hot spark system, at first try I had a very very weak spark, like you could hardly see it, through the coil wire. Didn't really help. I then replaced the coil tonight. Still not better. I kept trying new things, now I have no spark at all. I charged the battery. Still nothing. I placed a jumper wire from the battery positive to the plus side of the coil. Still nothing. Thinking I didn't have enough ohm to the coil from the ignition switch. I have power to the hot spark system too. I read in my seloc manual there is a ballist resistor and I don't know where that is. I also don't have a ohm meter. Has anyone have any ideas where to go to next. Buy an ohm meter? I looked for bad wires going to ground, but haven't found anything. Will a distributor, just all of sudden ground out or does that matter? Just looking for help. Thanks Shawn"
