"On my AQ125A the needle on my oil pressure gauge is bouncing down and up when I throttle back from coming off of plane (stays at 50psi. when throttled up or on the hose in the yard but seems to flick back and forth and then rest at 20 or so when idling). Do you suppose it's the gauge, the sender, or (gulp) the oil pump? Could I splice in via some short pipe nipples a mechanical gauge just ahead of the sending unit to read oil pressure at the block against pressure at the gauge or would the extra length and running through a mech. gauge give an innacurate reading to the sender?"
