aq120b spark plugs?

i have an aq 120 b and im having a hard time getting a straight answer on plugs and gap. the manual calls for w200 or t30 plugs, no one seems to know what those are at my parts store. i pulled champion ql86c from the engine. what im wanting to know is if that is the correct plug and what the gap should be. the manual says .028-.032 gap, but the guy at napa told me they needed to be gapped at .040.

the boat is new to me, so i just want to be sure that everything is correct. thanks!

All those engines use Bosch W6DC spark plugs, which you can cross-reference with Champion N6YC, Autolite 4253, etc.

Gap them as specified in the manual if you are using points, and at 0.035" if you are using electronic ignition (Pertronix, Hot Spark).

champion n6yc huh? so i guess the ql86c that was in the engine is not correct then. hmmm, i wonder how the w6dc and 86c compare temp wise, or what difference there is. the boat ran great aside from a funky carb and always fires up on the first crank. anyone else care to toss in their two cents?

for what its worth i had it out today with the ql86c's and had them gapped to .030 and it ran like a top. still not getting the rpms i want, but thats for another post. im going to grab the plugs you mentioned and throw them in and see how it runs on those aswell!
