have the carbs or carb been rebuilt anytime recently?if not it may be the problem.the floats may need replaced or the needle valves may not be working properly and when you get the engine hot and turn it off fuel is slowly dripping into the intake flooding the engine.i went through the same issue.when it gets hot and won't start push the throttle fully forward then try cranking the motor,as your cranking slowly ease back on the throttle going toward idle/neutral and see if it fires?if this is'nt the issue you may also want to do a compression test to check the condition of the pistons/rings.if you just had the head redone and it was done correctly that should'nt be a problem?inless this issue started after the head was redone?if the compression is bad enough when your getting the engine hot you could be getting blow by gases in your crankcase causing an issue. i would start by checking the carbs though,if you try cranking with the throttle open and ease back and it starts its time for some rebuild kits.i'm sure someone else will be along before long with perhaps another idea.

Hi - I am taking boat out tomorrow and I will try that. I have got some carby kits on order from America. Thanks for your help.

Hi. Thanks. Took boat for run today, you were right it is flooding itself. I'll fix carby's and hopefully it will be ok then. Thanks very much for your help.
