"Hi, I am new here and i have a question on the tilt/trim hoses that run behind the exhaust pipe on my aq145a with a 280 outdrive. One hose i can remove with a wrench and the other seems like it is fed through the transom to a fitting, it has silicone all around the hose where it connects to the transom. I peeled the silicone off of what i could and it seems like the hose goes through the transom. is that the way it is supposed to be? I have a seloc manual and it does not go into much on my style of tilt/trim. They have a lot on the style that looks like a distributor. Also i can't seem to find a good drawing on the hoses. I ordered what i thought were the right ones, but they were real short. I need the ones that are about two to three feet long. can someone help me please?"

YES THEY ARE THE SAME AS THE LATE PUMP. DOUG RUSSEL IS THE PLACE THAT I GOT THE HOSE FROM. I ORDERED PART NUMBER 12. THAT HOSE IS ONLY ABOUT 8 TO 12 INCHES LONG. THE ONE THAT I NEED IS MUCH LONGER

I am new to boating and I have

I am new to boating and I have a AQ131D with a 275 stern. While I was on the lake the other day the motor lifted with out me doing anything and then it went down when I increased speed going forward but when I put the boat in reverse the motor lifted again. Any ideas why this would happen and how to fix it. I am afraid to take the boat out again because the motor might not go down. I can not put the motor down with the titl switch.
