The conclusion regaurding my o

The conclusion regaurding my out drive is as follows. Removed outdrive this weekend and found that a metal cap that attached to the yoke that splines into the motor had fallen off. Cleaned out metal shavings and reassembled and vibration problem is gone for now.

As a short comment to the above:
I suspect You might have over-greased the shaft at reassembly last time getting a cushion of grease between the end of the shaft and the cup in the yoke. This might have put the yoke under 'pressure' and not able to slide properly on the shaft which it needs under turn and trim/tilt. Finally the cup got pushed out.
Remember to apply grease on the shaft and not inside the yoke and there will be no problem.
