"Price is about $25 each. Has anyone tried these? A 6% increase in fuel economy and the increased life expectancy would probably pay for the plugs, but do they do what they say?"

"I have always stuck with what the manufacture recommends. I think if these plugs were as great as they say they are, most companies would be using them in their vehicles. Especially for the so better fuel economy they offer. A spark is a spark, I don't think making it bigger or fatter really makes that much of a difference."

OK Lewis....were all going to be waiting for your results although no matter how good they are I'm not sure @ $25 each that I want to put them in 2 460's ($400!)

"I finally ran the boat with the Pulstar plugs. The motor was remanufactured and has about 20 hours on it with electronic ignition. I installed Pulstar plugs and a K&N flame arrestor. Prior to this, the engine would max out at 4100 rpms. Now it will max our at 4500 rpms. It ran very well on Sunday Oct. 26 2008.
I took the boat to Wassaw Island off Savannah, GA to put up deer stands. It was a great day for boating."

"Too Good to be true??? This is just another of the hundreds of devices which claim to improve performance, increase fuel economy and reduce pollution...The only proven results are a lightening of your wallet. Auto manufacturers employ the best and brightest engineers...If any manufacturer could increase the power or performance of their vehicles by even 1% they could increase their sales and profit significantly. If they could achieve a 6
% increase they could probably put the competition out of business. Despite the manufacturers claims and user endorsements, these plugs are just another one of the many scams which seem to multiply as the price of gas rises.
All you have to do is "google" the term "fuel saving devices" and you will see how many of these devices are advertised. If all of their claims were true, you could save enough gas to put the oil companies out of business. Here is a link to some tests of miracle devices tested by consumer reports:http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/cars/tires-auto-parts/car-maintenance/gassavi ng-devices-904/overview/"

"would have to compare to new

"would have to compare to new stock plugs to be more scientific, but sounds impressive. A 3.0 moves so little air that the K&N is definitely not part of the equation. A stock arrester half clogged and bent can flow the required 300 cfm for the 3.0 engine with no restriction.

My little 25Hp outboard would barely plane my inflatable. The plugs looked new. I put new plugs (cheapies) in and it was as if I had added another 20HP."

"These plugs they hotter than the plugs recommended bye the manufacturer?

No pinging?

You know, or if you didn't, know you know now, your playin with the devil if you use to hot a plug.

Soon you will be posting how to rebuild that expensive motor."
