Anyone ever replace lower mounts on 98 mariner??Need help

Hello,

Has anyone ever replaced the lower mounts on a 1998 mariner 115HP? I guess my first question is, does the powerhead have to be removed to remove the upper ones or can the lowers be replaced without touching the upper ones and powerhead? Confused as to why the uppers would need to be removed.

So in a nutshell ( I have manual) the powerhead has to be Lift to access the upper mount bolts in order to loosen the swivel arm to get the clearance to remove and insert the lower mounts?

What does it involve lifting the powerhead? I have heard wires and so forth don't have to be disconnected because it doesn't need to be lifted to high, is this right? Whats involved?
 
A whole bunch of stuff has to be removed and, if you're like me, you'll forget something (usually the shifter arm) and... Whoops! The driveshaft houing then has to be slide backwards to come out at the top and ottom at the same time--a surprisingly difficult (and infuriating) job. The rest is then easy.
