Any tips on installing impeller kit on 1997 2-stroke?

I bought a new Yamaha impeller kit today, but have never replaced the impeller in an outboard. Other than the stuff that's in the shop manual, are there any tips I need to know to make the job go easier?

I also read somewhere that I may need to replace the bolts that hold in the lower unit, can someone verify they are not reusable?

Thanks

Oh, the outboard is a C150TXRV, 1997 2-stroke

you can reuse the bolts if they look ok. Have someone else there to assist. Lower units are slightly heavy and very akward to put back in by your self.

Thanks, and you are right about re-installing. I had my son help out. Probably could have done in myself except for reconnecting the flexible tubing to the pitot tube fitting, what a PITA that was.

trim up the engine upto 50% and place the drive shaft straight to the shaft hole, hold the gear box by one hand and check the shift rod, should align with
gear selector. then press it check the 2 fedel align with the 2 fedel pin. make sure the bolt and the spanner is ready, before you perform these steps.
