Hi all
I'm a need some help I have a evinrude 55hp outboard motor
witch i brought second hand The bloke told me the fuel pump was playing up. I have had it checked out and they say it's fine nothing wrong with it... So what i need to know is because the fuel pump was pulled off before I saw it. i want to know is there a plunger that goes under it into the motor .So with the casket to the block there is a middle hole what goes into that I know it sounds like a stupid question and I may not have worded it right i just hope some one out there sort of understands

Well sort of .... maybe :)
The fuel pump is not operated by a "plunger" it is operated by pressure/vacuum pulses from the crankcase ... via that hole.

BTW when asking questions always quote the full model details inc power and year and preferably also the model number
