"Having a problem with the heat sensor on the exhaust elbow setting off the alarm at 3500+rpm. The impeller is good, water intake is tight, heat sensor on the therm housing reads 160' but the exhaust sensor keeps going off. The base of the elbow is cool but starting at the top thru the exhaust exit it starts getting really hot. I removed it and it doesn't appear restricted in any way. Any ideas??
BTW there is a water restricter plate between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust elbow, I drilled holes in it to allow more water flow. Possibly it is there for a reason?!?!?
