Hi,
On my NTM boat, the previous owner replaced the throttle controls (and the associated trim switches). He put in a pretty nice Livorsi control but I'm not sure that the trim switch wires he used were right (they shorted out, not sure if it was a crossed wire or undersized).
Anyway, my question is: what size/gauge of wire is needed for the mercruiser trim pump solenoid? The harness on the pump assembly has a 20A inline fuse but when I check the trigger's circuit, it only has a resistance of 63. By my calculation, this means that it only requires 0.2A, which means that I can safely use 20-22 gauge wire needed to fit in the Livorsi.
Am I completely wrong on this?
