Another Stator issue

now if you have a bad stator would that cause only one cylender not to firer?

How many stator wires are there ????--------------How many magnet sets are there in the flywheel.------------------How many SCR's are there in the powerpack?----How many sensor coils are there ?---All for 4 cylinders.

im not sure i have a 1972 85 hp johnson

On a 72 85 HP Johnson, the stator only has to do with charging the battery.-----That is if it is a --------------72---------------- Magneto electronic came out in 73 on the Johnson line.

im sorry its a 73, by freinds is a 72 i had that one on the brain

The charge coils provide 4 pulses per revolution ( stored in the capacitor ) for ignition.----------I suggest a new powerpack.
