"It looks like I might be getting another motor, to go with the three I already have. This one is newer and bigger, but I don't know its exact age. Can someone help identify this motor?

Model: J40ELCDE
SN: C7208941

This is a 40 HP that has been run in salt water, so I would like to know if there are any particular things that I should inspect/check before purchasing.

"The engine is a 1986 40hp Johnson. Check the compression, spark with the plugs removed, gearlube.... check for water and metal filings."
