"Chrysler LM 318 Service Manual calls for 5 Quarts of oil with filter. After filling with 5 Quarts, oil does not even reach add mark. Should I add more till level reaches full mark?"

"Larry,
I managed to get a service manual that answered the question. I brought my 318's up to the full mark by adding a total of 8 liters with a fresh filter. No problems experienced over the summer season. It all has to do with the inclination of the engine and the more oil the easier it is on the engine."
