Aluminum Oil Pan??

Hello all-I have a '94 Alpha 1 5.7L and the steel pan has rusted and is now leaking oil. Thank God, no water in the crankcase. I was thinking about replacing it with an aluminum pan. Does anyone have any experience with this and where did you get your pan from? I have seen some on ebay & sumitt racing for around $100. All feedback is appreciated!
 
Why change it to aluminium?

Buy a OEM replacement and get another 18 years out of it if you keep the boat that long.........
 
Agree!

Summit may carry automotive aluminum oil pans, but if these aren't Marine specific, and if it doesn't clear other items, you'll be disappointed.

Like kghost said, buy an OEM GM replacement, and it will go another 18 years or more.
 
i agree with the previous posters ! go oem ! there will be absolutely no performance gain by going to the aluminum pan.
