Altinator charging 15,6 volt

Hi I replaced altinator and the new one is charging 15,6 volt. What is wrong?

The regulator or the wiring...

Most ALTs need 3 connections to work correctly. Sense, Excite and Output

Sense and Output will have Bat voltage full time
Excite gets power when key is turned on

If Sense lead is not reading Output voltage then voltage is increased until it sees 14.4V. If there is a bad connection voltage will go higher
