Looking to change from gear driven alternator and water pump to belt drive on 1964 pacemaker 327 flywheel forward.
Where can one find parts.
Thanks

wow, that's a vintage question. There is only person I know around this forum that can deal with 60 y/o designs. Jeff, jeff???

Never seen a gear driven arrangement on a SBC for the pump and alternator...that said, I'd go to the local salvage yard and take the belt driven setup off two of their products...If no local source, use the www - plenty of yards that will ship. A final suggestion is to check over at oldmarineengine.com...much experience there.

I resemble that remark!

Never seen a mechanically driven alternator on a boat engine, but Chris Craft did such whacky stuff that.... The late SBChevy automotive engine DOES have a gear driven water pump, but not alternator.

Thanks Actually, the gear drive is such that the nylon gear at front of camshaft drive the water pump on one side and a gear driven pulley on the other side which in turn drives a multi rib belt that turns the alternator. All in that housing between engine and transmission.
