Alternator upgrade - 30a to 55a

I just installed a new alternator on my port engine with a built in regulator. It appears to be working fine but I noticed something as I was throwing away the box. It's a 55a and I believe the original was 35 or 40a.

Is that an issue with the factory Crusader wiring vintage '89? And, should I go ahead and replace the Stb one so they're evenly matched?

For the 6 feet or so from the alternator to the battery lug, the engine harness should be fine...even though those alternators are rated for XX amps, look at the operating coditions to get max output...most of us never operate there.
