Anyone have a picture of the b

Anyone have a picture of the back of an alternator for a 1998 Volvo Penta 3.0. The books wiring schematic is not exactly clear.

"How many wires do you have? If you have a red or orange 10ga and a 18ga purple one, the purple goes on the post marked EXC and the red or orange goes on the one marked BATT."
 
Here is what is on the back of

Here is what is on the back of my alt. It has a post for the orange 10GA then I have a post marked P a post markes S a post marked EXC and a post marked E. My harness has a orange 10GA a red and purple linked together with 2 ends a purple/white and a black. Any suggestions.

I would call a V-P dealer and

I would call a V-P dealer and give them the motor serial number. That will be the most accurate way if they know what they're doing.

You could call Mastercraft of Charlotte and tell you what you have.

Why are you having a problem with this? Was the alternator gone when you bought the boat or did you remove it and forget where the wires go?
