alphaone gen 1 quick shift cable question

in the shift cable kit there is a black plastic cable guide, or bushing that goes in the transum plate. Does it go in from the engine side or the stern drive side? Mine was in too many pieces to tell

Don't worry about it, can only be installed with the engine out of the boat and the originals last a very long time.

well i have to worry about it like i said it was in pieces, but now i know which side it goes in on,

I have never installed one doing hundreds of short cable replacements............throw it away..........
