Alpha one sterndrive removal

Hey, I gotta pull an Alpha One drive off of a boat and I can't remember the procedure exactly. I know I have to disconnect the trim cylinders and and remove the six nuts that hold the drive on but can't remember what gear the shifter should be in. Also is there anything that needs to be done to the shift linkage where it disconnects at drive? Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Push the shifter into the FWD gear. If it is 1990 or newer, disconnect the Pitot tube.
