alpha drive stuck up

i have a mercuiser 3.0 with alpha out drive after tuning it up for summer and starting I raised the out drive(it was in down position) Now it won't go down. I have tried someone pushing down on drive while I hit the down switch.. No luck. I can hear the pump run wesather I push the switch up or down. HELP

Ayuh,... Have somebody Jump on it, as yer runnin' the pump down...

When ya trim up, 'n it labors at the top,...
Tap the button Down a couple of times...
It keeps the overload valving for gettin' Stuck, like it is now...
 
Try jumping the solenoid.
Use a battery, use the black on the ground and then jump the green for the drive to go down or jump the blue wire to make it go up.

If you change the solenoid, you will most likely solve the problem.

P.S. make sure that you have oil in the reservoir
 
Switch the hydrolic lines on the pump and hit the up button. This will force the drive down. Then switch them back and try it again. The pressure the pump puts out to trim the drive up is much higher then trimming down.
