alpha 1 with OMC engine

I have an '83 OMC 140 with an OMC 400 sterndrive. The I/O unit is shot. Is it possible to connect a Merc Alpha1 to this engine?

yes but you have to close the hole in the transom and then drill the cutout for the merc unit. You will need everything back from the engine. Coupler back.
