Alpha 1 Stern Drive knocking noise

Replaced billows and all annual maintenance then reinstalled lower unit now I have a knocking noise after starting engine. Any ideas?

Did you also replace the gimbal bearing?

could be gimbal bearing or u joints.

No I did not replace gimble ring. It looked like it was in great shape. The billow looked fairly new as well so I didn't replace that billow. Just the other two billows.
