My trim stopped working. It won’t raise up with the trim up or trailer button. You can hear the motor running. I can physically raise the unit up without disconnecting the hydraulic cylinders. What I have read is I shouldn’t be able to do this. Is this correct. I haven’t checked if the fluid is full but will do that tomorrow. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you can raise it without removing the cylinders likely you have no fluid in it and there is air

Suspect you will find reservoir empty and will be chasing a leak

and if the res is a white plastic its usually cracks from the bottom screw

Ok put oil in it and found it was leaking at the fitting on the cylinder. Tighten it and it stopped leaking and works all except the trim up. I jumped the red and blue wires and the unit went up. I think I need to check for power on the blue with the up button pressed and if there is power there I will need a new solenoid. Does that sound right? It will have to wait for spring because I put the boat away today. Thanks g f or the help
